At a glance
- No ads.
- No tracking and no analytics.
- No account and no sign-in.
- Your data is never sold, or shared for advertising.
The game does not collect personal data. On the App Store its privacy label is Data Not Collected, and on Google Play its Data safety section states that no data is collected or shared. A shorter version of this policy is also inside the game, under Settings › About › Privacy › Read and behind the Privacy button on the first-launch Welcome screen. The two never contradict each other.

Stays on your device
Your progress, records, ghost runs, settings and your unlocked full game are saved on this device only. If you use your phone's own backup (Google or iCloud), they're included in it. Deleting the game deletes them.
In detail, the game's save file on your device contains:
- Progress: which levels you have completed and unlocked, and the gravity shards you have collected.
- Records: your best times, ranks, scores and checkpoint splits.
- Ghost runs: a recording of the sphere's path in your best run on each level, so you can race it.
- Settings: controls and calibration, graphics, audio, vibration, accessibility, language and your chosen sphere livery.
- Unlock status: whether the full game is unlocked, remembered so the game also works offline.
- Play statistics and performance: how many runs you have played, your total play time, and the graphics settings that run smoothly on your device.
- Leaderboard profile: a random player ID created on the device, the display name (a default one, or the one you choose) and, only if you pick one, a country. Online leaderboards are switched off in this version, so none of this ever leaves your device.
On Android you can also erase the save file with Settings › Apps › Gravion Orbital Drift › Storage › Clear data. Backups you make with iCloud or Google are covered by Apple's and Google's own privacy policies.
Motion sensor
While you play, the game reads how you tilt your device to steer the sphere. These readings stay on your device and are never stored or sent anywhere.
The game does not access your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone. Vibration is used only to give you haptic feedback and collects nothing.
Purchases
The full game is bought through the App Store or Google Play, which handle the payment. Gravion Orbital Drift never sees your payment details. It only learns whether the full game is unlocked.
When you buy or restore the full game, the store's own system on your device tells the game whether the purchase is owned, still waiting for approval, or not owned. The game keeps this result on your device and does not send it to us or to any server. Apple and Google process your account and payment information under their own privacy policies: Apple Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy.
Leaderboards
Online leaderboards are switched off in this version of the game, so nothing you do leaves your device.
No contact between players
Gravion Orbital Drift has no chat and no messages. Players can't contact each other.
iOS and Android details
iOSiPhone and iPad
- App Store privacy label: Data Not Collected.
- No tracking: the game never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt because it does not track you. Its privacy manifest declares no tracking and no tracking domains.
- No permission prompts are needed in normal use. If motion access is ever turned off, the game offers touch steering instead.
- Saved data is kept in the app's private storage and included in your own iCloud or device backup.
AndroidPhones and tablets
- Google Play Data safety: no data collected, no data shared.
- Permissions: network access (a standard permission for this kind of app; in this version the game makes no network requests of its own), vibration (haptic feedback) and Google Play billing (to sell the full game). There is no permission for location, contacts, camera, microphone or storage.
- Only the game's save file is included in your own Google backup and in device-to-device transfers when you set up a new phone. There is no online sync.
Third parties
The game contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or social-media software. The open-source components it is built with (for example the Three.js graphics library and the Capacitor app framework) run entirely on your device and do not collect data.
The only other companies involved are Apple and Google, as the stores that distribute the game and process payments, and, for this website only, our web hosting and e-mail providers (see the next sections).
Children
The game does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. Purchases by children are subject to the parental controls of the App Store (such as Ask to Buy and Screen Time) and of Google Play. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our contact form; if you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has written to us, contact us and we will delete the message.
This website and the contact form
No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts, images and scripts are served from this website itself, so visiting it does not contact any third-party service.
Server logs
Like every website, our hosting provider's servers automatically process technical data to deliver pages and keep the service secure: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, and your browser's user-agent and referring page. These logs are kept only for a short period set by the hosting provider. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Contact form
- What we receive: your name, e-mail address, the version of the game you use (iOS or Android), the topic, the device and system version if you enter them, and your message.
- Why: only to answer you and help with your request. Legal basis: steps taken at your request and our legitimate interest in providing support (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
- How: the form sends your message to our support inbox by e-mail. It is not stored in a database on this website and is never used for marketing.
- How long: we keep messages for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and delete them no later than 24 months after our last exchange, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
- Spam protection: to block automated abuse, the website keeps a scrambled, one-way code derived from your IP address together with the time you sent the form. It is used for one hour only and is then deleted automatically. The form also uses a hidden field and a signed timestamp. None of this uses cookies.
- Who processes it: our web hosting and e-mail providers, acting on our behalf.
Your rights
Everything the game saves is on your device, under your control: you can delete it at any time by deleting the game. We cannot see, access or delete data on your device, because we never receive it.
For personal data we do hold, such as messages you send us, you have the right under the EU General Data Protection Regulation to access, correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise these rights, use the contact form on our Support page or by e-mail at lukegarrison.dev@gmail.com; we will reply within one month. You may also complain to a data protection authority, in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or the authority where you live or work.
If you live in California or another US state with a privacy law: we do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Security and transfers
Because the game keeps your data on your device, the most important protection is your device's own security, such as a passcode. This website is served over an encrypted connection, and the contact form is protected against automated abuse. If our hosting or e-mail providers process data outside the European Economic Area, this happens only with the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Changes
If anything here changes, this page will be updated in a new version of the game. The same update is published on this website, with a new date below.
